PRESCRIPTIONS AND ONLINE SERVICES

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ARE AUTHORISED BY trained members of our clinical team AND MEAN YOU CAN REQUEST A LIMITED NUMBER OF PRESCRIPTIONS WITHOUT FURTHER CONSULTATIONS.  YOU CAN REQUEST A PRESCRIPTION ON-LINE, IN PERSON, BY POST OR BY TELEPHONE.

TO ORDER your medication ONLINE we recommend using the nhs app or PATIENT ACCESS. the nhs app will also display your covid-19 vaccination status

The NHS App can be downloaded from here for iPhone or here for android.

you can also access the nhs app online here if you do not have a smartphone.

instructions on downloading and registering for the nhs app can be found here. 

It only takes a couple of minutes to set up, ideally you should have a form of ID & your NHS number to hand – https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/online-services/find-nhs-number/ can help you find your NHS Number.

 you can register on the nhs app without needing codes from the surgery. codes can still be obtained from the surgery if you are not able to complete the registration process.

You will need to contact the surgery for registration codes.

 

Ordering by Telephone or email

WE HAVE A DEDICATED NUMBER FOR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS. THE NUMBER IS 01643 703441, OPTION 2.  THIS NUMBER IS AVAILABLE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 11am and 1pm ON WEEKDAYS – if you are able to order your repeat medication via the NHS app/Patient Access we ask that you do so, so this line can be used by those patients who do not have access to online services.

PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND DATE OF BIRTH WITH YOUR REQUEST. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT REQUESTS FOR “ALL REPEATS” OR REQUESTS WITH LIMITED INFORMATION ARE LIKELY TO RESULT IN A DELAY IN THE PROCESSING OF MEDICATION. IN SUCH INSTANCES, STAFF WILL NEED TO CONTACT YOU TO DISCUSS YOUR EXACT REQUIREMENTS.

Emergency Prescriptions

Use this service to request a limited emergency supply of a medicine you’ve completely run out of.

This must be a medicine you are prescribed regularly, through a repeat prescription.

You will be charged your usual prescription fee. If you do not usually pay, it will be free.

When not to use this service

You cannot use this service to get antibiotics for a new or recent problem or controlled drugs that require identification to collect.

If your medication request is urgent please contact our prescription line on 01643 703441 (Option 2). 11am - 1PM, Monday - Friday.

Please include your name and date of birth with your request. Please be advised that requests for “all repeats” or requests with limited information are likely to result in a delay in the processing of medication. In such instances, staff will need to contact you to discuss your exact requirements.
